Hello friends! Hoping you all had a wonderful Easter yesterday. We had a nice day outside in the warm sun. Henry and I got up early and went for walk around town. I hung out with my mom all morning and then went to visit my dad. He's out of the hospital now. He wasn't feeling up to going outside, so I wished him a happy Easter and let him rest. Eric, Theo and I had fun making a mess dying eggs. Eric's parents came over and we went for an Easter egg hunt at the Falkirk Mansion. After that, more family came over and we had an awesome ham dinner. We ate brownies, did newspaper jumbles, and listened to Sean tell us about his daily adventures of working as an EMT for the SF Fire Department. The day was lovely.

Eric's birthday falls on April Fool's Day. I'm sure he has lots of stories of birthday shenanigans played on him, but I think this year will go down in the history books. While I was making Eric's birthday cake today, he accidentally dropped something on his foot and smashed his toe like a squished grape (eeww). He spent the majority of the afternoon in the ER getting stitches and a booty for his now broken foot. He was a real trooper though, and he stayed in good spirits despite his day not going how he planned. Happy Birthday Eric, we love you tons!  I say we make tomorrow a birthday do-over and celebrate for real!

Yesterday I made an apple raspberry pie. It was super simple and tasty. You can check out the recipe here, I made mine as a pie instead of a tart. It was great a la mode.

Theo got a Valentine's Day package from his aunt Shonnie that was filled with homemade goodies. He was so happy, he hugged the phone as he was calling to thank her.

Eric and I have the tonight off, so we're going to the city for a night on the town. Last year we spent Valentine's Day hanging out in North Beach and Embarcadero. We went to the annual pillow fight in the Plaza, it was a blast! Here are some photos from last year:
